Svenja Gudell is Chief Economist at the Indeed Hiring Lab and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association for Business Economics. Prior to joining Indeed, Svenja was Chief Economist at Zillow Group. Previously, Svenja worked on economic, financial and strategic consulting for Analysis Group, and was an assistant economist in the research group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Svenja has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Rochester, a master’s degree in economics from New York University, a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Rochester, and a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Rochester.

Alexandre Judes is an Economist at the Indeed Hiring Lab with a focus on France. Prior to joining Indeed, he worked at a prominent French independent institute, where he was in charge of the digital economy portfolio and worked on multiple policy issues such as French competitiveness, labor market reform and European integration. His past engagements also include various stints in investment banking, consulting and public administration. He graduated in finance and economics from ENSAE ParisTech.

Allison Shrivastava is a research associate with the Indeed Hiring Lab. She previously worked for the Utah State government where she modeled the effects of workforce attachment on educational outcomes and evaluated tax incentive programs. Allison holds a B.S. in economics and political science from the University of Utah.

Annina Hering is an Economist at the Indeed Hiring Lab with a focus on the German labor market. Annina wrote her dissertation in the social science at the University of Cologne. Previously she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies, where she was also part of the International Max Planck Research School on the Social and Political Constitution of the Economy (IMPRS-SPCE). In spring 2018, her dissertation on precarious employment and childbearing in Germany was published as a book with Campus Verlag. She holds a M.Sc. in Sociology and Empirical Research from the University of Cologne and a B.A. in Politics and Society from the University of Bonn.

Brendon Bernard is an Economist at the Indeed Hiring Lab, focusing on the Canadian labor market. His research interests include analyzing how detailed trends in the job market fit in with broader developments in the Canadian economy. Brendon was previously an Economist with Department of Finance Canada, where he focused on analyzing Canadian financial sector policy and the U.S. economy. He holds a Master’s in economics from the Vancouver School of Economics at University of British Columbia, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queen's University.

Callam Pickering is an Economist at the Indeed Hiring Lab with a focus on Australia. Previously he was an economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia focusing on household spending and house prices. He also worked as the economic editor at online publications the Business Spectator and Eureka Report where he covered economic issues relating to Australia. Callam earned a Bachelor of economics and accounting from Monash University.

Chris Glynn is Senior Manager of Economic Data Products at the Indeed Hiring Lab. Prior to joining Indeed, Chris was Senior Managing Economist at Zillow, where he led teams in economic research, data products, and forecasting & risk. He was previously an assistant professor at the University of New Hampshire, where his research focused on statistical models and computational methods applied to dynamic markets. His research has been published in journals such as the Annals of Applied Statistics, Nature Communications, Bayesian Analysis, and Applied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry. Chris earned his Ph.D. in Statistical Science from Duke University, an M.S. in Mathematical Finance from Boston University, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.

Prior to that, Cory worked as a Researcher and Economist for the Utah State government. Cory holds a B.S in Economics from the University of Utah and an M.S. in Marketing Analytics from the University of Alabama.

Pawel Adrjan is Head of EMEA Research at the Indeed Hiring Lab and a Research Fellow at Regent’s Park College, University of Oxford. Before joining Indeed, Pawel spent over a decade in investment banking, holding senior roles in risk management, credit ratings advisory, and treasury at Goldman Sachs and Barclays in London and New York. His research focuses on a wide range of labour market topics, such as wages, pensions and the impact of technology on jobs. Pawel speaks Polish, Spanish and French. He has completed a B.A. in international studies and a B.S. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.Phil. and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Oxford.

Shawn is an Associate Data Scientist at the Indeed Hiring Lab Data Science team. Prior to joining Indeed, he worked in the Singapore labour ministry’s COVID-19 operations department as a Data Analyst. While in college, he did nuclear policy research in South Korea for a think tank and interned for an NGO in Japan. He graduated with a B.A. in economics and history from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Yusuke is an Economist on the Indeed Hiring Lab with a focus on the Japan labor market. Previously, Yusuke was an economist at NERA Economic Consulting and was a data science manager at EY, where he compiled economic and statistical reports for the government, judicial bodies, and private sectors. He holds an MSc in economics from University College London and a BSc in engineering (industrial engineering and economics field) from Tokyo Institute of Technology.
