Transportation Labor Market Update
- The transportation vertical trends look a bit rough in job postings; all categories are down year-over-year, but the picture for wages does look a bit better. Driving and loading & stocking wage growth both outpace that of the overall labor market.
Retail Labor Market Update
- The retail vertical finished the year a bit mixed. Job postings across all categories declined throughout the year, with retail itself posting the largest drop. At 2.9% year-over-year to December 2025, retail wage growth now outpaces that of food service & preparation, as well as the rest of the labor market.
Business-to-Business Labor Market Update
- Trends in the business-to-business (B2B) vertical leaned toward the positive in the last quarter of 2025. While a few categories experienced year-over-year declines in job postings, all remain above their pre-pandemic baseline. Moreover, wage growth in most B2B categories is outpacing that of the overall labor market, with the exception of education & instruction just a shade behind.
Tech Labor Market Update
- Job posting trends in the tech vertical remain one of the weakest spots in the labor market. Although software development job postings have begun to level off, other categories remain at least 30% below their pre-pandemic level. Despite weakness in postings, software development wage growth has notched volatile but substantial gains, climbing to 2.1% year-over-year.
Healthcare Labor Market Update
- The healthcare sector shows some signs of decline, although it remains in much better shape than the rest of the labor market. Job postings in all categories are well above their pre-pandemic baseline. Wage growth in all categories weakened in the six months leading to December 2025, with the exception of dental, which remained flat.
